Anyone here into Yoga?

Two weeks back, I started practicing "Yoga for Regular Guys", based on the book written by pro-wrestler Diamond Dallas Page.

...yes, it sounds weird, but strangely effective.

There's a 20-minute daily workout that I've found to be good for beginners. However, I'm still thinking of taking classes.

However, to be frank, the best thing about the "Yoga for Regular Guys" that I liked is that it didn't have all those New Age stuff that I don't really get. Nothing about pranas and chakras and the like... just scientific straight explanations on the stretches and how they could help. I'm not sure if the yoga classes here would be focusing on the yoga positions or philosophy (I don't think I can stand too much philosophizing).

Any thoughts on this? Anyone tried taking Yoga classes?

Any pictures of yoga babes?

I dont' do yoga, but explain more about this Yoga for Regular Guys. How does it help and stuff? If it is really good, i might try some stuff cuz the yoga i see is not my cup of tea. Unless im in a room filled with other women. Then it would pay off. If i don't have to wear tight clothes that is.

Basically, DDP tried to synthesize the benefits of yoga into an easy to follow program. So far, I think it helped me improve my stamina and flexibility within the past 2 weeks.

I wanted to do yoga for I seem to be lacking physical activity as of late. MarkPoa, is the book real good? And I also need something to keep me concentrated, at the same time relaxed.

RT: I went to the site and found myself lol-ing at the phrase "more BANG for your buck". And also, DDP looks funny now.

I'm intrigued. I used to do yoga, but mainly chanting and the like.

Yoga... that... that's a good thing. :P

I hope to gawd DDP's not Scientologist...

I just recently started Nia, which is a combination of Yoga, Tai Chi, Aikido, aerobic exercise, modern dance, and a few other elements. It does include use of chakra (sorry, MarkPoa), and I'm not able to keep up with the rapid changes in movements yet (you know, first we're moving left, then we change to shifting back), but it's a lot of fun. Nia is done barefoot on hardwood floors (in my experience), not lying down or on mats. The class I'm in has 3 men (including myself) and about 20 women, though attendance is sporatic.

Age range seems to be ~ 25-60, and I'm looking to meet women 25-40, so this works great for me. There aren't any teenagers, couples, or junkies here, which is kind of a dream come true. So far, I've asked out 4 of the women, but no takers yet.

No pictures, sorry.

I think I'll be taking yoga soon. I notice I've been getting angry frequently as of late and I don't like that one bit. I just want to channel my energies somewhere. ^^
