Picture of the inside. Notice the terrible wiring job and the sloppiness!

Hey OB! I recently decided to build my own PC from scratch, and I thought I'd share it with all of you!

The specs:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice Socket 939. Not the newest thing out there, but not too expensive. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103537

Ram: 2 gigs! OCZ. WOO!
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820146970

Power supply: OCZ Gamestream 600 watt. Seriously powerful. No question.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16817341001

Mother board: Asus A8n-SLI ATX AMD. A good board. I hear it is good for overclocking.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813131517

Video card: Nvidia Geforce 6600 Sli-capable. No, I'm not utilizing SLI, sadly. I will eventually.
$90.00 Can't find a link for it...

Case: In-Win 03. Okay. It's a bit large, but it's very sexy.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16811108046

Hard Drive: Main: 320 gig SATA 3.0 drive.=The sex. I also have a 60 gig IDE HDD in there.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16822148140

Extras: Saitek Eclipse keyboard maximum sex appeal. ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16823175103 ) Lite-on DVD burner with dual layer writing (Okay, it's cheapo brand, but it is very effective for my purposes. Bought it at wal-mart!)

Nothing is really expensive, but nothing's really top of the line, either. It is still a strong machine, though, and can run Oblivion without any hitch. Also plays Artificial Girl 2, however, that game, is not all that great but that's for a different section! Just wanted to show my homies on the OB what I've been doing! And the answer is Oblivion. That's all I'm doing. Ever, now. Oh, and Photoshop CS2. It likes running that. It can handle pretty much anything I throw at it, so I'm very pleased.

Edit: Added links to check the prices and specs in more detail. Hopefully links will stay up.

Nice MOD dude and it seems your workstation is much more organised than mine .

On the wiring part, if you're a first timer in this sort of customization, is normal unless you were born a genius

I like your RAM capacity and HD space plus I presume partitions has been made....eyyy. Somehow is either I have lost my sense in comps but did you mention anything about it's speed? Or I could be blind

With that kind RAM & HD, you might want to produce some AMV's of your own if you want to unless Adobe software nowadays takes a lot of RAM.

Kudos on your first self customized PC and may it bring your future happiness and entertainment in many ways..ehem ehem. :buck:

I know squat sh*t about computers man.....but even I know one sweet set of assembled computer stuff when I see one.(and I do know for a fact that if there's more storage space in your hard disk, chances are there'll be more smut filling it...huhuhuhu  )
Nice job man!^^

That said....judging by the box of tissues on your screen, your pc is basicall an all-smut based machine, yes?

*Drools*....Ahem....Well, compared to the 60gig I was holding before for everything, it is sex. Consider that I have around 30 some gigs of porn to keep, too, so it's only really 30 gigs left, you see. But 750 gigs...Mmmmmm. Now that you remind me, KK, I got all my stuff off of Newegg. I was pleased with their service, too.

Oh, and as for the speed? It's a 2000MHz processor (which isn't all that fast in comparison to some of the newer stuff) and I have 2 gigs of RAM, also.

I've got about 40 to 45 but since I've got a dinky 40gb hdd, it's all burned to DVD.

UPDATE!

Hi everybody who's interested! Here's an update to my stuff, though not an actual update. New pictures, though.

Desktop, as seen in those pics. Note the sexiness of the 1280X1024 resolution. Also, a visual style, also, Rei.

Picture of my processor stats as seen by CPU-Z. I have this to get to my next point.

If you check it out you'll see my proc working at 2200 (more or less), and if you are keeping up to date you'll notice that stock clock speed is 1800. I.E. I overclocked this mofo. Though these procs can be clocked record highs of 2800~, I am not man enough to even try that, though I'd like to do that at some point. HOwever, I am not aware of all the technical know-how of overclocking, and am probably going to end up with a dead processor. I am not a total n00b though, and have been monitoring the temps and adjusting fan speeds accordingly. Either way I'm more proud of it. ALSO, almost forgot. Packing the additonal Geforce 6600GT for new SLI function! Making graphics pretty darn sexy.

Picture of BF2 being played at pretty much max settings, though you really can't tell how sexy it is in this shot. Using Point of existence 2 mod, btw, so it normally looks better than this.

Edit: Slightly better shot

Anywho, this is what I've been up to. BF2 and such. Got wireless into my room now so I use the internet on this bad boy. Yessir. Well, just for anyone interested.

TFT? I dont' know what that means.....Anywho, just for you mega, I cleaned up the desk. I've been a bit sloppy lately, so feel free to curse me out for it. I'm so lazy lately! Need motivation to NOT be on my computer and clean up my room a bit!

Nice. My motherboard died a few months ago so I ended up getting most of a new computer. Also opted to build it myself. Haven't got any pics, but here's what I got (I bought it all from NCIX.com, which is almost local, but is cheaper than the local stores even with shipping).

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 processor: 2 cores at 1.8GHz per core, with load distributed between them means basically 3.6GHz. 2MB L2 cache (I might eventually upgrade to the E6600 with 4MB L2 cache and 2.4GHz per core...I wanted to get that, but I had to cut a few hundred to fit in my budget).

ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe motherboard: first mobo to support Conroe (Core 2 Duo) and SLI. I didn't want to wait another month for the NForce590 version, so it's got the older Nvidia NForce4 chipset. Decent overclocker mobo, but the chipset isn't great for overclocking...I don't really OC though, so that doesn't really matter.

2x1GB PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM

eVGA e-GeForce 7600GTS video card. I'll upgrade to dual (SLi) 7900 GT later on, when I have money.

OCZ GameXstream 700W power supply.

Kept my old case, 120GB and 40GB hard drives, DVD-ROM and DVD+/-RW/CD-RW, Samsung LCD monitor and APC UPS. Very soon I'll add a Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA hard drive, and add another one in a RAID configuration. Also hoping to upgrade to a pro sound card (I'm thinking maybe E-mu 1820M)...since I'm a musician, I really really need this.
Demoncaller777
Demonseed.....that's going to be a monster....All those parts are very high up on the list, there. sheeesshhhh. I hope you do a lot of gaming on PC, or else you wont' be able to use that kinda power.
