The stone carvings within the city include some of the finest in the world in my personal opinion, visitors can find themselves unsettled by the many pillars with vigilant petrified faces as demonstrated in this picture.

Within the city itself is a courtyard containing over two hundred and fifty carvings of women, one may not find this significant at first glance but upon closer examination each woman is dressed differently, carrying varying objects and in various poses. No two are the same, here is a sample image.

It is high on my list of "must see" locations. Third actually, following Hagia Sophia in Istanbul and the Falkirk Wheel in Scotland.

Hell, might as well ask ... Where would you vacation or visit?

I as you can say, am not a traveler cause of my funds, but I would like to travel to many places.

Some places include

-Japan (of course)
-Germany
-Florida, USA (Never been there)
-Texas, USA (Texas rocks)
-Italy

Maybe some others but mostly those. Checking out the large USA would be cheaper and its close since i live in the USA. Japan is high up though. It's why its number one. Japan = Happy Place

If i got more money, the places i wanna go are:
-Egypt, probably Giza: I wanna see the inside of the great pyramid!
-Rumania, Hunedoara castle: Vlad Tepes' castle, must see!
-UK, East End and Tower Of London: some of the scariest places in UK.
-France, Versailles Palace: Just wanna see it...
-Italy, Milan and Sicily, Sistine Chapel: Shopping and eating!

That's some of it...

You mean Romania. I believe it's Romania that also has a small town with a four foot skull wall(made of human skulls) surrounding it, another tactic used by Vlad but not as well known as the bodies being imapled in the path of the invading army.

Hmm.. If I was given a grand vacation and money isn't an issue, I'd prolly go visit all historical battlefields of the Second World War... Kursk, Normandy, Berlin, Antwerp, Iwo Jima.... Those kinda places...

Ahh! I enjoyed this weeks episode of Algolagnia's Educational Minute. What's on the blackboard for next week??

Japan or Sweden! I'm going to England this weekend to see my penpel! Thinking of posting some pics and stuff in a new thread maybe when I come back!

I haven't been to Maui for a few years so I'd just like to go back there for two weeks. Great beaches on the north west coast. Oh! And Japan, I'd love to go there some day. Maybe over the summer this year?

I was thinking of possibly posting about the now dead project of Oceania, the first man-made continent that fluttered and died from lack of funding back in 94.

Oceania: The Atlantis Project

The Atlantis Project, which proposed the creation of a floating sea city named Oceania, began in February '93, receiving nationwide publicity from The Art Bell Show, Details Magazine, The Miami Herald, Boating Magazine, and worldwide publicity in Canada, New Zealand, Hong Kong, England, and Belgium. The project ended due to lack of interest in April of 1994.

Personally I had planned to contribute funds to the project, though when it ended the dream of living on a Libertarian continent free of strict drug and weapon laws faded as well. So did all interest I had in aquatic engineering.

The idea seemed sound. The thought of living on a man-made continent and having more freedoms than in America was greatly appealing to myself, though I could never figure out why more people were not interested.

The laws for the continent would have read a little differently than anywhere else, for instance the use of drugs was not only tolerated but a right as long as it did not effect your performance on the job(which would have been provided for you on the continent itself) and the ownership of firearms were not restricted except in the area of weapons of mass destruction(this included grenades, and other explosives primarily).

Housing was guaranteed as well and so was the right to defend your property with deadly force, as opposed to someone breaking into your house in America and resulting charges for killing them if they did not "physically" attack you, as if the psychological attack of shattering your sense of security was not horrible enough to merit a self-defense plea.

Many people bashed these loose gun and property laws saying that the continent would erupt into chaos ... yet with all residents contributing to build the continent in hopes of a new life I doubt the chances of that were high at all. I would actually feel safer than in America as everyone on the continent has a reason to feel protective of their fellow Oceanians and the continent itself, as they all invested in not only the continent but the freedom of which it stands for.

Here are a few design photos of the continent.

Next week I will be showcasing the new project from the man behind Oceania: The Atlantis Project.

Damnit Algolagnia you've done it again lol, this reminds me of the DeLorean car scandel we had over here in the 80's. Hasn't a Sheik recently built a man-made island? In the shape of a palm tree? I was thinking I could do an educational minute lol, maybe on Irish politics.
Algolagnia-Volcae
Well then it would be a Political Minute wouldn't it?
