Google hasn't helped me much, so here goes...
Should I be worried if I have a tender spot a bit below my abdomen? It seems that if you exert a bit of pressure on that area, it hurts a bit, as though it's bruised or something, but not quite.
I'm a bit worried because that's where my bladder is. If that area is sensitive as it feels, I naturally feel a bit apprehensive of what that really is...

I've had the same reaction once...and it could get very serious if it happens for more than 24 hours. If it's just been occuring for one or two hours, than it harmless. I wish I could provide you more information, but maybe you should take it up with your doctor.
Sorry, I could not help you more. But, if I find more information I'll tell you.

Gallstones, possibly?
The tenderness has been there for about two days now.
It doesn't hurt if I don't exert pressure on my abdomen.

Ey Voldee, you should get that examined asap...It wouldn't do much just researching about it or getting an opinion online, see your doctor dude, and have that area examined, just to be certain... :agree:

My gawd! You have hernia! xD
You shouldn't really stress your abdominal muscles when you try to poop, ya know.

I hate to admit it (except the poop part), but I think madame sky is spot on with what I have.
You can also get a hernia from lifting stuff, right?
EDIT: Then again, the pain seems to be gone. Maybe it was just a case of overeating. Lol...
Makes you miss the days when medical advice was easy to access for you... ah, well.

I dunno,
WebMD could be of some help.
Seriously, instead of talking about it here you should be talking about this with your doctor.

I agree,... There's no substitute for a good history and physical exam. :agree:
If it doesn't hurt anymore it's probably nothing, but if you develop someting like constipation, dark black stools or find that you have trouble emptying your bladder when you pee, i'd highly recommend seeing a doctor. (specifically, an internist or gastroenterologist)

hmm - I repeating what others have already said - get a professional to look at it
the info you gave could be lots of things... or easily misinterpreted.. (and I don't claim to be able to recognise it either)
anyway tyy to make notes of everything before visiting so you have something to give to the doctor in case you mind goes blank ^_^ at the visit
