This topic is obvisouly about what movies you have seen and wished you didn't.

There are a lot of bad movies out there so its hard to name them all. So just name a movie that you didn't like and explain why.

I personnaly hate like the movie A Civil Action with John Travolta.
I think its boring and the ending sucks and I wished I didn't see it.
Trigon
The Dungeons & Dragons movie from a few years back was perhaps the worst movie I have even seen. The plot was nonsensical and inane, the characters wooden and boring, and even the special effects were uninspired. I have never walked out of a movie theater, but during this movie I wish I had. :angryfire:

I hated the first Tomb Raider movie too - for similar reasons - but not nearly as much the D&D movie.

I really dislike it when a game, book, or comic that I like is ruined by tunring it into a poorly made movie.

You'll love the doom movie then. They changed everything, check this link out, i can't type it out anymore, its too depressing.

Doom movie
YUSHi
I don't know about these being the world movies ever made but both Resident Evils were just appalling...
ninjapeps
worst movie? how can I choose? Master of Disguise, Scooby Doo and D&D are the first ones that come to mind.
Vertigo
I've seen snippits of the Doom movie. The whole thing reeks of cinema catastrophe.
Shunichi_Sakurai
"Out of Sight" with George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez, directed by Steven Soderbergh.

One thing I can say...it's no action movie.
Type-O-Negative
Any given sunday - Starring Al Pacino.

This is todate the only movie I ever rented and returned without finishing it.

I know it was supposed to be special etc with indepth sports action captured.

but to tell the truth it was just simply bad.
ninjapeps
ach. how could I have forgotten the atrocities that were Batman Forever and Batman & Robin?
Kyubi Kitsune
Not counting anything on MST3K, the Lifetime Channel, or any B-grade movie, within the last few years...

Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions - Talk about a movie series that got progressively worse and idiotic.

Star Wars Eps 2 and 3 - I think we all can agree that George Lucas is a horrid script writer. All flash and no substance... and brains.

Daredevil - One worst comic book adaptations within the last few years.

Signs - Terrific buildup and characterizations, but why do all recent movies about alien invasions leave the veiwer thinking the alien planning meetings for these invasions would probably make good fodder for a Dilbert comic.

Elektra was a waste of Jennifer Garner. What a pointless movie.

Princess Diaries 2. If it were live, I'd keep smacking the actors. It takes sappy and cliche into a whole new level, and to think Mia in this story is older and more mature now (compared to the first movie, as she was in high school there). It was a total waste of money, until now I'm bristling with the fact that I paid for it. I mean, if I wanted cliche and sap I could go for A Cinderella Story or She's All That which I both actually enjoyed despite being cheesy and eyecandy. Why couldn't Princess Diaries pull that off when it's supposed to be easy, delivering an enjoyable no-brainer (hello Charlie's Angels)?

Today's Hollywood horror movies (The Ring, esp). Do the scriptwritter have no idea whatsoever so they have to remake a Japanese movie, only to make it less scary?

Elektra - Man, was THAT a total waste. I never even liked Jennifer Garner for the role, but they just totally made a mess out of the whole thing. The end was totally anti-climactic as well, and her enemies, despite being so cool-looking, were beaten so friggin' easily. I mean, the big guy with a club was supposed to be indestructible, but gets vaporized when he gets squashed by a tree?! That's so lame.

"Meet The Fockers" wasn't the aboslute worst of the worst movie I'ver ever seen, but it really paled in comparison with it's prodecessor, "Meet The Parents."

Unlike the first title, Meet The Fockers was not as stupidly hilarious...but has it's moments. Though it kind of lacks the excitement of the first. From the movies I've seen lately, this one kind of doesn't do it for me. But I DON'T hate it at all.

it's because the American film industry thinks that something isn't scary unless there's a lot of CG in their movies.

I found the recent War of the Worlds to be the lamest in the series of movies I've seen based on the story...

the special effects might have been the best ... but the rewrite of the plot... especially the 'family' crap... several of the characters should have died... and allowing them to survive was a big negative for me.
Too many of the main characters were very unlikeable

I agree with WotW being lame. I should've went to see Batman again.

Elektra is probably the worst 'superhero' movie of all. I have nothing against Jennifer Garner and I thought the samurai guy was cool with his dashing stuff and double katana, but all in all the movie sucked. Story sucked, acting sucked, everything was screwed. I was lucky I watched a rental and haven't bought a copy or I would've made such a waste of cash.
Kyubi Kitsune
Batman Begins was a well done film, but visually War of the Worlds is probably one of the best since Lord of the Rings. While most action takes place offfscreen, the visuals are so well done that you can almost picture what's happening offscreen without seeing all of the carnage. Spielberg is a genius when it comes cinematogrophy.

So the major problem with the plot rewrites is the entire family thing and not how inconsistent the alien's actions are and how incredibly stupid they were when planning the invasion thousands of years ago? Probably without focussing on the family, WotW would have degenerated into another Independence Day.

Not entirely the worst, but disappointing superhero movies nonethelesss...

Daredevil - both actors for the hero and Kingpin were out of place, the only saving grace were Elektra and Bulls-Eye...

Elektra - had high hopes for this one, but its obviously a failed attempt at cashing-in on a character that catapulted Garner to stardom...

Catwoman - is a joke, even Michelle Pfeifer was able to give justice to our feline thief...

sidenote: I do hope that the upcoming Ghost Rider film starring Nicholas Cage, will do justice to the "spirit of vengeance"...

Oh thank God I pleaded my mom not too see the movie. Yes...it's from Spielberg, but I felt it seemed too cliche in it's storyline...it DOES sound like leftovers from the ET movie.

TRP:

And I also agree The Ring series was horrible. I came up with moderate expectations, only to find one or two scary scenes in both movies.

I liked War of the Worlds, i haven't seen any other movie of that so I can't compare it to that.

I hated the Blair Witch Project. Had so much hype and it had basically teens cursing and their heads in the camera the whole time. It was a movie of an "actual" tape. Why not show the original tape? Then it would have been scary. I just hated that movie.

Gone with the Wind. I just can't watch thru it.

Also Ice Age. I just thought that movie lagged. There making a sequel to it. I don't know why.

Star Wars 2 i thought was kinda lame. 3 was awesome.

Any movie where Ashlely Judd plays a victimized woman who has to train herself to be a strong independent woman. Which is like every movie she has been in.

Electra - I regret paying money to seeing that...

I'm not familar with the comics its based on... so I'm probably not as offended as others... but it came across as so much pointless and unbalanced - the difficulty of opponents seemed to change with the toss of a coin... (standard gripe found in many movies... invincible opponents suddenly turn into nerfed ignorables... well maybe not that bad...
but one example would be Starship Troopers ... the bugs at the start need the combined firepower of a about dozen or more troopers... then later a dozen bugs can be taken out with a single troopers... what gives?
well that and they didn't have the powered suits in the books... what a lame ass let down that was...
Algolagnia-Volcae
Dungeons and Dragons.

I fell asleep for fifteen minutes of it. The funniest part though was a couple of guys dressed in chainmail armor cussing as they left because they wore the heavy crap to the movie thinking it'd be worth it.

Wait... uh, is this only limited to blockbuster movies, or can all sorts of crud turn out for the crappiest movies ever team?

Coz if it's open season, you guys seriously must watch Duplex (Ben Stiller & Drew Barrymore as a married couple trying to get rid of the annoying old lady upstairs), and throw up on the people in the aisle in front of you.

That is the single worst movie watching experience EVER known to the history of mankind. I felt my brain was melting through my eyeballs as (I hate Drew Barrymore) that *censored expletives of an adult nature* movie destroyed 2 hours of my life I shall never have again.

I sure hope my name and any movie I write doesn't end up here in this cesspit of DUPLEX!!! (doo doo plex more like it)

U can talk about any movies you have seen. It isn't just about Block Buster movies.

Alien vs. Predator, as a matter of fact anything past the 1st 2 Alien movies and the original Predator. HOO-BOY, did that movie have Stink Burger written all over it. The thing about the whole Predator aspect is, when you look at it, it ain't much of a movie. Sure the action and the special effects are cool, but the stories rather simple, the acting, wellllll it's an Arnie film, so actings a bit of a moot point. But still, I find it an awesome film even almost 20 years after it was made. AvP couldn't even live up to the mediocraty of Pewdator 2, which at least had a couple of redeeming moments.

Van Helsing OWWW, that hurt to type, but man the movie was by in far one of the worst things I've ever seen. To quote Crow T. Robot, "A severely impaired box-turtle with a very busy schedule, just give him a camera and let him roam around for a couple of hours could put together a better movie than this."
Anyone who found this movie even remotely redeemable could probably be legally diagnosed as brain-dead.
Voldemort
The American Ring 2 was horrible, horrible. And this is coming from someone who barely appreciated the Japanese version one, so the American Ring 2 had to do something utterly lame to completely fall flat for me.

Oh, I know now what...

The movie got produced, that's what.
Larghaz
That movie where Madonna gets pregnant with her gay friend. It was so worthless that I don't even want to remember the title anymore. It's the movie she used the remake of my favorite Don McLean song too, and I hate her version.
Malachi
Has anyone even watched "Ring of the Niebelungs"? I seriously hope to hell you haven't... My mom just HAD to buy the dammned DVD and just HAD to force us all to watch it like one big happy family...

What a crapload... a blatant "eastern european" attempt at cashing in on the success of Lord of the Rings...
