I got myself a scanner (finally!) after around a year or two of really wanting one.

And I guess this is where I get to post some works.

Sorry for the ugly paper. I used the back of one of my xerox copies of some geography lesson. It's ok, it's just a test run anyway.

And I cropped it coz the sohee underneath was... not up to my standards.

It looks nice. You really captured the cuteness of the Moonlight and the Munak. If you made them look this good, I wonder how you drew the Sohee.

Christmas Munak

I can't er... reference it here. I think it's too big.

And there's something I can't explain about that sketch...

My logic and drawing skills are satisfied with it... but my inner artist sense says it's missing something...

Any ideas on what could I have missed? :sweatface:

That was done on the back of a xerox copy (again!) coz it's just a practice sketch and I don't want to waste 200+ pages of worthless crap (my geography papers :sweatface: )

I'll be using the same concept (Munak wearing a Santa Hat with Amulet) on another drawing... I think.

Shiori Misaka

My version of Shiori Misaka, a girl from Kanon. I think I got her correctly, more or less.

Would you believe I met her while playing a doujinshi game, Eternal Fighter Zero? :sweatface:

Since then I hunted down any info whatsoever about Kanon... and found out about Air and Clannad in the process.

Why won't Key have those great games translated? I want some!!! :bawling:

Its done on another back of xerox copy (geog i hate you oh so much). The original had an awful lot of words that managed to pass through, so I tried to remove them. But I kind of hurt some of the lighter shading in the process. Ah well.

Okaay, you now can get to the nudity, soon you'll put up with more cleaner drawings and finally color!!

I think the Isis' human body should've been cut a bit shorter, and that the snake half should be a little longer.

I thought I lost my Drawing Skill Points for good. But this is the first drawing that passed my standard in over four days ^^; .Sure, to you four days may not be much, but to me, four days of drawing crap (by my standards) is torture!!

BTW, I don't know where that girl came from, and I didn't draw her legs, coz I couldn't think of a pose... (Should I cross her legs or something? I don't know). But I'm still glad I am able to draw.

After four drawings, I realized... the paper I am using sucks. It's way too thin, and a wee bit on the small side.

I have to get better quality paper to sketch on. :sweatface:

I wanted to color her, but PSP 4.0 seriously cannot do justice.

Rummaging around the buttons and menus, I managed to sort of "clear" the trash lines and "enhance" the line edges, but it can go no farther than that.

Bummer.

Don't get discouraged. It's not everyday an artist could come up with idea...Heck, i even got my artwork rejected sometimes because it's not what it supposed to be.

TRP: CUTE! Especialy the girl under the knight...Is it Ayu from Kanon?

Well, its from Kanon, but its not Ayu. Its Shiori Misaka, the girl that likes ice cream (vanilla flavor) even in winter :shocked: . No wonder she's so sick. :sweatface:

My first try on coloring.

It's not pretty, but ah well. That thing took more than four hours (or five :shocked: ) to complete as I took my time to click around the menus and toolbars a bit :tongue: . There are times I think it looks right so I proceed... then realizing that it wasn't right so I have to undo... only to find I can't undo up to that point. :sweatface: So there were a lot of un-undoed things I tried to remedy.

And I think I got some of the basics down now. :laugh:

Actually, I don't know. On paper those sketch lines really were sketch lines, maybe while I was fill-coloring the skin something happened. Dunno what though.

And the eyes... I dunno if I should continue drawing the reflect circles or just edit them on the eyes. :sweatface:

Firstly, the way I colored her is different from Munak's. It's an entirely new technique! Which took me five hours... or more.

Then second. Sorry if she may look improportioned (was that a word?!? :sweatface: ), as I was just trying to see if I can utilize the coloring technique. And I didn't pay much attention to her hair. :buck:

Third. I don't know why she has a magician's hat, nor why she has that pose. :sweatface: (That doesn't look possible at all. Well, at least her top half's pretty decent :sweatface: )
