It seems that my computer can't play or work with Flash. It must have at one point, but now it can't. It can't run shockwave, and apparently doesn't have flash...If I download Ganguro Girl, it plays that, and can run other flash things off that. Now that I think of it, it might be shockwave that's messed up...Whatever it is, all I know is it can't load up newgrounds...well at all. It loads the background but then just keeps saying "opening" whatever. Any help would be nice...Ristle gave me a link that I'd really like to check out...

Have you tried reinstalling the
macromedia flash player?

Yeah, dude. I tried it before, and I tried it again right now. It says if I get the text below and some movie above it's successful...Now I got the text but the movie isn't there, and there is some box to the right of the text that doesn't work either...I'm thinking it could be my internet settings, but I don't know...

And if all else fails, theres always reformatting. But that's just the last option.

Dude, I also checked windows update. They had a buncha other things but none mentioned flash or shockwave. And I really hope I don't need to reformat. That'd suck too much to mention.

Try going to shockwave.com and let it download flash and shockwave plugins. If that doesnt work try going to your control panel and then to add remove programs. Select internet explorer then choose repair on the window that comes up. If that doesnt work open internet explorer and go to tools then options and then security. Set your security to low and try that. If none of that works get someone good with computers to check it out.

....Grrrr....I lowered the security, Disabled Norton antivirus, tried a different browser, and none of that worked...I also tried the add remove thingy, and apparently It wasn't even on there...Is there some place to re download it or something?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but sounds like a re-formatting is in order.

Um, have you tried using another web browser? Try installing Mozilla Firefox or Opera, with the plug-ins ofcourse...If the web page still fails to load flash images, there might be an "active process" running on your comp that is "blocking" the flash images...Otherwise, if it works on other web browsers, your IE browser is screwed, just try a reinstallation of IE...
@Larghaz
Reformatting a hard drive is always the last resort amigo, since it's always a huge chore to backup gigabytes of data...Anyway, IF ALL ELSE FAILS THEN GO FOR LARGY'S TIP, hehehe... :wink:

formatting is good. I have yet to beat my record of 4 reformats in under 8 hours on the same comp. :sweatface:

Dude, try this. This is Windows' Clean-up utility kit. This'll uninstall things from your PC if you're having a hard time removing them. Though I'm not sure if your flash player will be included in the removable items.
